New currency in the West brings prosperity

Currency reforms in the Western, capitalist occupied zones prove to be a success. With immediate effect, the reforms allow for products to be stocked in shops, which could be bought for money. Citizens of the Western zones were initially given 40 Deutschmarks. Currency reform in the East followed three days later. Availability of products, however, was not as favourable.
